This actually depends on the condition of the existing roof. Once the estimator has examined the existing roof, he or she can determine whether or not they need to start from scratch.

Should my roofer clean up the job site afterwards?

The short answer is YES. The long answer is that the roofer or roofing company should take care of the set up, maintenance, and clean up of their tools and their set-up. No roofer should leave a mess.

How do I work out the best roofing material to use?roof workers

There are many types of roofing materials, which can leave some homeowners wondering what type would be best to use when they need a re-roof. This can be even more tough when you are trying to change the overall look of your home. In this case, it’s best to look at what you are trying to accomplish with the re-roof. Are you attempting to go green? Do you want to up the curb appeal factor? Are you trying to sell the house? We can only make recommendations based you giving us all the information you’ll be using to inform your decision.

What kind of maintenance does my roof need?

Just like any other part of your home, your roof needs to be cleaned on a regular basis. This may require a simple sweep in the summer time or an emergency removal of debris from surrounding trees in the fall. Either way, keeping your roof free of debris and moss will help it last longer.

My porch roof leaks. Do I need to worry about this?

It’s a good idea to get any damage to eaves and porch roofs repaired as soon as possible to prevent any major water damage or the development of dry rot.

Do you have a license?
