Summer is coming up, and there is plenty to do here in Portland. Here are several great activities that you can participate during the late spring and summer months.
May
May 5th-8th: The Cinco de Mayo Fiesta will be open from 11 AM-11 PM at the waterfront.
May 8th: The Oregon Zoo will be hosting a Mother’s Day brunch!
May 21st: Reach the Beach will open up Oregon cycling season!
May 27th: The Portland Rose Fest City Fair begins at the Waterfront Park.
May 30th: There is a ton going on for Memorial Day weekend! Take a look at this calendar for details.
June
June 4th: It’s the annual Starlight Run in downtown Portland.
June 11th: The highlight of the Portland Rose Festival, the Grand Floral Parade begins today!
The Dragon Boats will be racing down at the waterfront as well. There’s plenty to do in downtown Portland.
June 8th-13th: Fleet Week comes to the Tom McCall Waterfront Park.
June 9th-September 9th: Concerts come to the Zoo! Check out Oregon Zoo Summer Concerts for details on the performances.
June 17th-19th: Oregon Garden Brewfest starts up, just in time for Father’s Day.
June 18th-19th: Portland Pride Festival and Parade will be flying colors at the Tom McCall Waterfront Park.
July
July 1st-4th: If you’re loving the blues, head on out to the Waterfront Blues Fest!
July 4th: The Foot Traffic Flat hits Sauvie Island at 5:30 AM.
July 4th: There will be Independence Day fireworks at the Waterfront Blues Festival, Oaks Park, Fort Vancouver, North Plains, Corbett Fun Fest, and St. Paul Rodeo.
July 10th: The Big Float will head down the Willamette.
July 27th-31st: Oregon Brewers Festival will join locals at the Waterfront.
July 30th: If you’re a bibliophile, the Northwest Book Festival is a great place to meet your favorite authors.
August
August 7th: If you’re up for a 5K, The Oregon Trail 5K is heading through Oregon City.
August 12th-14th: The Bite of Oregon will bring delicious eats to the Tom McCall Waterfront Park.
August 14th: Celebrate your love of cycling with the Bridge Pedal!
August 26th-27th: The Hood to Coast Relay is heading out to the Pacific Ocean.
August 28th: Shop local at the Hawthorne Street Fair.
