44415904_sIt’s the first official day of winter! In honor of the season, we wanted to share several fun activities to do here in Portland – all winter long.

Dec 22-Jan 03 If you haven’t visited ZooLights already, you certainly should!

Dec 31 The First Run and Walk will help you start your year off right with a race at the stroke of midnight!

Jan 16-17 and Jan 22-24 Celebrate the truffle by heading off to that uniquely Oregon event… the Oregon Truffle Festival!

Jan 20-24 If you’re a dog lover, you can go to the biggest dog show series in the west, the Rose City Classic at the Portland Expo Center and see some gorgeous (and well-behaved) pups!

Jan 22-24 Did someone say chocolate? Take a break from that new years resolution for a day or two at the ChocolateFest.

Feb 05-06 It’s Dungeness crab season, so it must be time for the Portland Seafood and Wine Festival!

Feb 13 If you’re a big Oregon beer buff, breweries will be opening their doors across the state for Zwickelmania!

Feb 13 For those of you who want to work out before the day of love, check out My Muddy Valentine.

Feb 14 It’s the 15th anniversary of the Worst Day of the Year Ride! Bike lovers unite for this winter trek through Portland.

Feb 18-28 Jazz will be coming to Portland for the Portland Jazz Fest!

March 03-06 Portland Oregon Women’s Film Fest will be here once again, celebrating the power of women in film.

March 12 If the Muddy Valentine run didn’t work out – or you are up for the challenge once again – head on out to the The Dirty Leprechaun 5K Mud Run!

March 13 Want to challenge yourself with a half marathon, run a 5k, 8k, or 15k? Check out the Shamrock Run!

March 19-26 Head on out to the coast and greet the whales as they swim past for Spring Whale Watching Week!

There are plenty of fun things to do around Portland and in our state throughout winter! We hope you find some fun activities and have a great season.
