Summer is fast approaching! We are seeing our fair share of summer temperatures here in Portland, so it seems like the right time to get ready and get inspired to decorate for summer!
Go Bright
We have amazing long days here in Portland during the summer months. The best way to take advantage of all of that sunshine is to accent with bright colors. You can go for anything from a bright, clean white to a vibrant blue.
Bring in the light
Winter and spring were filled with many cloudy and rainy days. Celebrate the sun by installing a skylight or sun tunnel into a dark room. This is a simple and cost-effective way to increase the amount of natural light that comes into your home.

Bright pops of color play beautifully against a more muted background. Keep things muted with warm, sandy hues that really set off your bright accents.

Be sure to decorate with natural accents like raw wood or pieces collected from the beach. Bring in flowers and live plants to celebrate the abundance of the new season.

We will probably get a few more rain falls before spring is done with us, but you can still set up your outdoor living spaces under covered decks or patios. Get ready for your barbecues, pool parties, and late night chats by placing your favorite outdoor pieces in their rightful positions.
